The Japanese unit of Swiss food giant has opened a KitKat flagship store in Shinsegae Department store Gangnam branch in response to the growing trend of customers looking for different tastes of the chocolate brand. The unique flavors were developed by food giant’s Japanese unit in collaboration with chef Yasmusa Takagi. You can taste exotically flavored versions of the chocolate, such as wasabi and cherry blossom. Customers will be able to purchase Kitkats with various flavors in addition to the original Kitkat flavors.
“Nestle decided to open the first KitKat flagship store in Korea by reflecting Korean customers’ needs for new and trendy premium chocolate,” Nestle Korea CEO Erwan Vilfeu said during a press conference in Seoul. Nestle Japan is looking into branching to other Asian countries and opening more similar Kitkat flagship stores.
