Terminal 2 has been established as the hub for airlines in Skyteam alliance flying to and from Incheon International Airport. When Terminal 2 opened just in time for the opening of PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018, the Airport Authority placed only 4 airlines in Terminal 2 – Korean Air, Delta Airlines, Air France, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
This Wednesday, Incheon International Airport has announced that more airlines will be placed in Terminal 2. Usually passengers flying with Skyteam airlines which are not based in Terminal 2 had to go through Terminal 1 and then had to move on to the Concourse. This has caused an unbalance of passenger flow between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. By transferring few more passengers to Terminal 2, Incheon International Airport seeks to grow the airport all together.
The new airlines which will be moved to Terminal 2 are:
- China Airlines
- Czech Airlines
- Garuda Indonesia
- Xiamen Airlines
These airlines will join their fellow Skyteam alliance airlines members – Korean Air, Delta Airlines, Air France, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines – in Terminal 2. The airport expects to move these airlines to Terminal 2 within October this year.
Just next time, when you are flying with one of these airlines to your destination, make sure to head to Terminal 2.
